Photo: During the First Parish in Concord's building renovation, some existing materials within the church were reused to increase handicapped accessibility. One example of repurposing the old for a new function is the reuse of parts of a 100+ year old pew for wheelchair-accessible seating in their balcony, preserving a piece of the historic fabric of this building in a way that is both visually pleasing and modernly useful.
