Loring Coleman Admirer
My name is Greg Paris and I work at Fidelity Investments in Marlboro. A large Loring W. Coleman (must be a) print of an old barn in winter hangs in the hallway by my office and I like it very much. I found your Sept '98 article on him on the 'Net and discovered that he lives in Concord. I live in Sudbury ....but don't hold it against me.

Is there some website or somewhere I can view some of his other work, and perhaps find a distributor of his prints? The article mentions a video on Coleman. Is this available somewhere? Thanks for your help.
Greg P

Greg, someone has to live somewhere other than Concord, so why not you? ;-) Loring Coleman does not live here either, but his connection is through the Concord Art Association, which might be able to help with your desire for prints and to see more of his work, including the video, if possible. Sorry, we know of no other Websites dedicated to Mr. Coleman's work.

It's Been a While Since I was In Town...
I was born in Concord Ma. 65 years ago. I would like to be up-dated on some of the things that happen there now. I have not been there since I was 12 years old. Please send me whatever you may think I would like to know of the changes. I now live in AZ for my health but travel in the warmer times of the year. Thank you.
Harry Monsen, Ajo, AZ
Harry! What has happened here in 53 years would fill several books! We suggest you put Concord on your itinerary for your summer travels and drop by to see for yourself. Then we'd love to hear from YOU about what has changed.

Broken Links
I was looking at the artists' links in your February issue and found two of them were bad. How come? Don't you check your links?
Brad P., Concord
Brad, this is a very frustrating situation for us, too. We lose some of our favorite artists' sites this way. Sometimes, this is a temporary host problem and the link may work later. But more often, the site owner has changed their URL, not keeping their previous site going for a while to help with a smooth transition. This would help us update, particularly since search engines may not have updated results for weeks or months.

Short Notes

I very much enjoyed the new Thoreau Almanac [note: this month's edition here]. As an Eastern bred Southern Californian, I loved the picture of the snow (although I truly would not want to be in it at my age) and the beautiful poetry. I certainly approve of this new feature. Keep it coming.
Sandra Nichols, La Jolla, CA

Just a note to remind everyone how important it is to come to Town Meeting. It is a fascinating process (ok -- so sometimes it's long-winded and dull, but it has its excitement, too) and one which not everyone in this country gets to participate in.
