Concord of the 1950's

Martin Studios rummaged through its archives and found these images of Concord taken during the 1950's. So similar -- and yet so different -- to how it looks today!

orchard house 1951
Orchard House, but with a lighter-colored paint job than the deep brown it sports today.
And just down the street, it's summer at the Wayside... an unusual side view. Now it's yellow.
The Wayside: side view 1951
The Wayside - front view 1951
The Wayside, a more typical view of the front. Did someone give a discount to paint both this and Orchard House what looks like the same color?
Main Street, 1951
Main Street, 1951: note the diagonal parking in front of the shops which is now parallel to allow for a wider passageway on the street.
