Rock On!
Thanks from the Orchestra On behalf of the Concord Orchestra I want to thank all of our supporters for a terrific season. We will be going on our first international tour in July and hope to raise awareness and attendance within the community for next season. We have an excellent program schedule for next season, which will feature a concert with the Concord-Carlisle H.S. chorus in October performing "Toward the Source", a commissioned work by Joyce Mekeel. Our holiday concert will feature Roald Dahl's "Little Red Riding Hood" with narrator and actors and a large children's chorus. And, in March we will perform Verdi's "Masked Ball" with soloists and chorus. We thank you for supporting live music in Concord and look forward to seeing you next season. Missing Concord This site is great!! My family used to live on Hanscom AFB, I was active duty Air Force. We really miss being in the area. We miss the diversity of all the goings on in Concord and Lexington as well as Bedford. Hope all is well there and this website is fantastic and I will tell my friends about it so they can see where I used to live. David A. Scherer - Indianapolis, IN Homework Question I am doing a speech for a fourth grade colonial Town Meeting. I am talking about not moving the North Bridge. I needed information on the North Bridge, the structure, not any battles. I have looked every place I can find on the computer and I have seen many North Bridge sites. I looked in them and only found things on battles there and other stuff that I don't need to know. It seems like the site for the Minuteman Historical Park is not working. I enjoy this topic and I also enjoy getting my homework done which means I need information. I think that the Concord home page should have more history about the building of the North Bridge. Lisa (age 10)
Lisa, we're glad you find the North Bridge interesting beyond it's war history. We find it fascinating that the one standing here now is not the original, nor is it even the first replica -- there have been several. And they all looked pretty different from one another, some being quite fanciful. |
