![]() One of the great glories of a New England snowstorm happens once the snow stops falling and the storm front passes. What often emerges is a bright blue sky of crystaline, cloudless clarity - and a world transformed by snow. The light reflecting off the undisturbed white can be blinding...and blindingly beautiful, as the photos below show. Taken from the Nashawtuc Hill side of the Nashatuc bridge, these photos were taken immediately after one of the large storms in February of 2001. They show the banks and floodplains of the Sudbury River and beyond to the surrounding woods. The glistening fields of snow were apparently too tempting for some lone skier who had to put down his mark....
