By Deborah Bier, publisher and editor of the Concord Magazine
My fellow Concordians -- whether you live in
Concord or Concord somehow lives in you:
With this March/April 2001 edition of the Concord Magazine, we celebrate our third anniversary of publication. This page contains links to all the issues we've published since we last took stock at birthday time...click on any of our front covers sprinkled among these words and revisit these earlier editions.
We have flourished and grown in this Internet soil during the past turn around the sun. With growing numbers of visitors and subscribers, we introduced new features like Virtual Booklets, and added even more exclusive, original writing and artwork. In the past year, we have had many wonderful new contributors and retained the best of the old ones.
And happiest of all: through this 'zine we've gotten to know our townsfolk better, reaffirmed our devotion to this place, and strengthened our sense of belonging and connection to this town and one another. Our all-volunteer staff and contributors make the Concord Magazine its shining self out of long study, fascination, curiosity, and an urge to create around the theme of this amazing town. We hope you enjoy the outcome of our efforts as much as we love watching this magazine come together six times a year.
A Million "Thank Yous"
And speaking of our all-volunteer staff and contributors: there have been dozens over the past year. We are thrilled by their willingness to be involved -- thank you for sharing your creativity, thoughts, knowledge, enthusiasm, and skills!

Next year, we'd like to add YOUR name to our thank-you list. Whether you are a never-before-published writer or artist or a seasoned professional, the mix of new contributors with traditional favorites is one of our strengths. The Concord Magazine continues its devotion to publishing as many views as our community possesses. Please think about adding yours. See our contributors' guidelines and contact us at magazine@concordma.com.
