2. "Please snailmail me more information on places to stay, eat, buy real estate, sites to see in Concord."
We have nothing to send by snailmail. If you have checked here for accommodations, dining, realtor and visitor info, then you've seen what we have. 3a. "How can I get my business/organization's info onto the homepage?"
This site can be a marvelous marketing tool for businesses and organizations! So we have created a variety of options to give yours good exposure. We offer the Concord Business Directory, and there are several listing options there available at a variety of prices. We also provide sponsorship banners or text messages for different levels of support.

For businesses or organizations who simply cannot afford this, we have another alternative. We assume that everyone has something of value to contribute to the community. If you provide some sort of public-service through the Homepage (for example, content with an educational or information bent), we are willing to waive all or part of a listing fee. And this type of contribution will get your business or organization great attention and exposure...a really good deal all around. This makes being connected to the homepage within reach of EVERY business and organization. To find out what level of participation we would require, contact us.

3b. (variation on 3a) "Hey! You'd better put my business/organization on this homepage right now...for free!"
Believe it or not, we do get outraged demands for free service to businesses and organizations. And to this we say the following: the Concord Homepage/Magazine is a community Website not supported by public monies. It is offered as a labor of love and it is a gift to the community thorough a simply enormous effort on the part of a private business. Your company/organization's Website is a sales/marketing/fundraising tool and its advertisement is a BUSINESS SERVICE. All businesess -- including non-profits -- pay for other business services and those provided here are no exception. See our price list.

4. "Can I reprint the image or text I saw on [fill in the page name]?"
First of all, thank you for asking: pat yourself on the back for respecting our copyright...not everyone is so considerate and law-abiding! Let us know what you are going to use it for and where. We will consider this on a case-by-case basis.

5. "Who does the Concord Homepage/Magazine?"
This is a COMMUNITY WEBSITE...a grassroots publication. It is a gift to the community from Hometown Websmith, a small, private company. It is NOT connected with the municipal government. We are NOT the Chamber of Commerce. We are folks who live and work in Concord with a personal stake in the health of this community. (More about Community Websites and how they differ from other types.)
6. "How can I support the Concord Homepage?"
Thank you SO MUCH for your interest in supporting us. Our site is only as great as the community effort that goes into it.

There are a variety of things you could do, and you need not be technically able to help. We assume everyone has something valuable to contribute. You can volunteer your time and/or expertise to provide some content for the community (we bet we can find a simply great Webpage subject lurking inside anybody!). We also need people who would be willing to proofread, trouble shoot, manage small projects, etc, etc. Just let us know you want to help, and we'll find something that will fit you just right.

We also very much need your financial contributions as sponsors. Please read more about this here.

8. "What is [John Smith's, Jane Doe's, Some Corporation's, etc.] email, snailmail address, phone?"
We do not offer a directory of resident information because of privacy issues. Check the search engine to see if the business you want is listed in our directory, or look by category. We list businesess only as they request us to; this is a service which has a small fee attached to it. If you do not find the business' info you wanted, let them know you missed them...chances are, other customers have, too!

9. "Who visits the Concord Homepage/Magazine?"
We serve many audiences: people who work or live here in Concord, as well as those in outlying towns; throughout the state, New England, across the country, and from five continents. People planning a day trip to Concord, or a more extended visit often check out the site while in the planning stages of their trip. School children as well as older scholars from all over visit to research papers on American history and literature, those with Concord ancestory, and lovers of our authors and of nature come, too.
