Labyrinth at the First Parish, Concord

Below are the "instructions" available at the First Parish for first-time Labyrinth walkers and the otherwise curious. All are welcome to walk it.

Labrynth at the First Parish in Concord

A Labyrinth is an archetypal form found in religious traditions around the world. The design for the one at the First Parish is from ancient Crete. It represents a journey, literally and metaphorically, to a center.

The Labyrinth is on the front/side lawn of the church, to the left as you face the front of the building from outside. One enters the path on the south side. As you walk, let go of the details of your life, allowing your busy mind to quiet itself. When you reach the center, stay as long as you wish; receive what is there for you to receive.

When you feel ready, retrace your steps back to the beginning naturally. As you leave, you may find your outlook may be different than when you passed through earlier.
